"There are no facilities in Belford only a hamlet however nearby Bamburgh is a beautiful village with its own castle on the beach. However, the very pricey Waren House Hotel, was oversold and overpriced. It's location, peacefulness and service was excellent but interior was more kitsch than antique and rather overwhelming, must be awful to dust! Meals were disappointing, breakfast limited and tinned fruit the norm at £14.50 per head.
Evening meal from £22.50 for two courses, but the vegetables had been kept warm for some time.
Lovely bedroom (superior) but no facilities for hair washing, only a bath without a hand shower attachment. This reminded by of yesteryear when one went for a shampoo and set weekly." | |
